Picture Quality: Where OLED Still Wins

The C5's main advantage over any LED or QLED TV is contrast. Each pixel produces its own light and turns off completely for black — there's no backlight bleeding into dark areas of the image. In practice, this means a space scene shows actual black space around stars, not the gray haze you get from even expensive mini-LED sets. The Evo panel is brighter than non-Evo LG OLEDs by a meaningful margin. If you watch mostly in a dim or moderately lit room and want the best possible picture for movies and gaming, the C5 delivers that. If your room is flooded with sunlight, consider the Samsung QN90D (mini-LED, much brighter) or step up to the LG G5 for a brighter OLED panel.
