Performance and Display

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is the fastest mobile processor available in early 2025. Apps open instantly, multitasking between 6-8 apps shows no slowdown, and demanding games run at maximum settings. If you're on an S24+, the improvements are incremental and hard to justify at full price. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is the main competitor for people choosing between ecosystems. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL offers a better camera processing pipeline for less money. The S25 Ultra adds the S Pen, 5x zoom, and titanium build for $300 more.
