Earlier Flips used a single full-range driver. The Flip 6 splits the job: a racetrack-shaped woofer handles the lows and midrange, a separate tweeter takes the highs, and two passive radiators on the ends move air for bass. Durability
IP67 means dust-tight and good for thirty minutes in a metre of water. In practice that covers the things that actually kill portable speakers: rain, a splash at the pool, sand at the beach, a drink knocked over on a table.
